Not only have we been preparing for a HUGE change in our life with the upcoming birth of our first child but many other exciting things are also taking place.
Here's a little background...
When Jeremy and I moved to the coast in June '04 (right after he graduated from chiropractic college) he went to work as an associate for Dr. Spencer in Gulfport. He worked there for nearly a year and was able to gain great experience working for one of the best chiropractors on the coast. Then last May his clinic was complete and he ventured out on his own. Things were slow at first, as is with any new business, but business had really grown over the months prior to the hurricane. Well, then in August the storm hit and Dr. Spencer's clinic suffered major damage (she leased an old house just a couple blocks from the beach). We offered our clinic to her on a temporary basis to see her patients until she could get her clinic back up and running. So from Sept. - Feb. she practiced out of our clinic. I'll try to keep this short...
Dr. Spencer decided to make a life change and move to Arizona. She offered to "sell" her practice to Jeremy. Without going into much detail, we bought Dr. Spencer's practice and began seeing her patients, along with ours, last Monday, Feb. 10. Last week was amazing and this week will even surpass it. The practice has literally doubled overnight and we could not be happier. Another great thing about the transition was that her 2 employess are now our employees. They are great and know everything there is to know about the chiropractic business. It's amazing how things work out. The business was struggling soon after the hurricane and now we are seeing the amount of patients we expected would take years to reach. We are truly blessed.

Congrats! Jeremy better keep those hands loose and iced down.
No more free massages and adjustements for the wife! He has to save his energy.
